Overall Field Prep Steps

The field prep is an important part of getting ready for the game, because everyone notices a poorly done field. The last thing you want to do is worry about getting the field ready when you need to be with your team before the game. It would be best if you could find a few volunteers, because these steps are best completed with at least 2 people.

1. Set and chalk batters box.
2. Set and chalk foul lines.
3. Set in Bases. (always after chalking foul lines)
4. Set in Pitching Rubber (For Minors only).
5. Set and chalk Pitchers circle. (can be done while the BB is done)

Tools and supplies

1. Batters Box template.
2. Chalker.
3. String.
4. Clean-out or digging tool.
5. Bases.
6. Pitching rubber (Minors)
